Hmmmm. I promise that I tried to get on and blog, but something else was a bit more important. I spend most of yesterday evening working on an anniversary card for my wonderful husband.
Today, we celebrate nine years of marriage. Nine years ago today we promised to love each other for the rest of our lives and truth be told, it is very easy to love Nick. He is the best husband in the world.
Nick and I were married in his parents back yard under a large white tent with twinkle lights. We had a dance floor on the back porch and it was a lot of fun. My nephew Charlie came up to me after the wedding and told me, “that was the best marry he has been in.” He was our adorable ring barer.
My sister Irene was my maid of honor and she looked absolutely beautiful. She wore a pink flowered dress and she did me proud. Irene is one of the most beautiful people in the world. Inside and out.
Nick wore a navy blue suit with pink pinstripes and a pink and gray tie. Oh my was he a handsome devil that day.
Standing before all of our family and friends, and making a commitment to each other has been the best day of my life. I am so happy that God brought Nick and I together. There were people who said it wouldn’t last but all I can say is, we are proving you all wrong. I love that man with all my heart and he loves me just as much.
We had a friend there making balloon art. How many people can say they had someone making balloons at their wedding? We can!!
Next year, Nick and I are planning on renewing our wedding vows, so I can share all new wedding stories with you. This time around, I want my entire family around us.
I pray you are all doing well. I wish you all love, peace and happiness.
