Sorry it has been so long since I have updated this thing. I have been doing a fair bit of writing and now I am working on what will be my NaNoWriMo project for this year. For those of you who are not familiar with NaNoWriMo, it is when crazy people, such as myself attempt to write 50,000 words in 30 days. I will be working on two projects this year. I will be editing my first novel and writing the second part of the third novel.
The first novel, Carrie Anne is about a young girl who suffers abuse from her mental ill mother. She has made it through high school and preparing to leave for college, but she doesn’t know if her mother will ever let her leave to begin her own life.
Carrie Anne is a novel in the Young Adult genre, but a few people who have read parts of my novel say that it is a bit scary. I thought about changing the story, but when it comes down to it, abuse is a scary thing to deal with. So I have decided to leave it as it is.
I have started going back to the gym and I believe it is making a huge difference within me. Last week, on Thursday, I finished a 21-day make a good gym habit. I read that it takes 21 days to make or break a habit so I decided to make a good habit of the gym. I love going to Planet Fitness. The staff at the Beaumont PF are amazing. They cheered me on the whole way.
I have just started my next 21-day fix here in Pensacola, FL. Why am I in Florida? Well, Nick’s Uncle Mark became sick (not going to say why, because y’all don’t need to know) and his Aunt Kelly came to stay with Grandma and Mark, but she needed to get back home. So, I drove over on Friday to stay with them. Mark was released from the hospital on Thursday and since I have arrived, we have been spending time at home. Family time is always good for me.
I made a car reservation online and we went and picked up the car on Thursday so I would have time to get things packed. When we got to the car rental counter, I handed my hard worked for driver’s license and my bank card. The guy behind the counter does his thing and tells me he can’t use my card. So, Nick hands over his bank card, which is from the same bank account as me and his is accepted. The guy then says we have to pay an extra $65 to add me as the driver. I believe we were conned for the extra money. The good thing about the experience is that they didn’t have the small car that I had wanted and I was upgraded to a Kia Sportage. It’s a nice car with all the bells and whistles. So many buttons for me to push and experiment with and the car talks to me.
I know it’s not a whole lot of excitement, but real life never is as good as the movies.
I will write more in a week or so.
Peace, Love & Happiness,
