Rob Porter, White House Staff Secretary for Donald Trump resigned on Wednesday, February 07, 2018 and his last day will be today. Rob Porter previously worked for Utah Senator Orrin Hatch as chief of staff.
When running Rob Porter’s background check, the FBI was told by both of his ex-wives of his alleged domestic abuse. They believed that telling the FBI about the abuse would make it impossible for him to get the job at the White House. However, as we can see he got the job even with the FBI knowing about the abuse.
John Kelly said of Porter, “a man of true integrity and honor and I can’t say enough good things about him. He is a friend, a confidante, and a trusted professional. I am proud to serve alongside him.”
However, John Kelly did an about face by on Wednesday saying, “I was shocked by the new allegations released today against Rob Porter, there is no place for domestic violence in our society. I stand by my previous comments of the Rob Porter that I have come to know since becoming Chief of Staff, and believe every individual deserves the right to defend their reputation. I accepted his resignation earlier today and will ensure a swift and orderly transition.””
Politico was told by a senior administration official that Kelly and other top White House officials were aware of a 2010 protective order against Porter months before it was made public.” (LINK)
Orrin Hatch when approached by the Daily Mail said, “It’s incredibly discouraging to see such a vile attack on such a decent man. Shame on any publication that would print this — and shame on the politically motivated, morally bankrupt character assassins that would attempt to sully a man’s good name.”
When Hatch was approached by the Intercept for a follow up he said, “I am heartbroken by today’s allegations. In every interaction I’ve had with Rob, he has been courteous, professional, and respectful. My staff loved him, and he was a trusted advisor,” Hatch said. “I do not know the details of Rob’s personal life. Domestic violence in any form is abhorrent and unacceptable.” (LINK)
Rob Porter was working within the White House without full security clearance. He worked closely with John Kelly and between them they made the choice of what went to the president. In numerous videos you will see Porter handing paperwork to the president. What I want to know is how was this man allowed to work directly with the president without the proper clearances?
With this scandal rocking the White House it’s loud and clear how the Trump regime feels about women. The president himself has many women come forward to say that Trump has acted improperly with them. Hell, Trump survived the Access Hollywood video and that he allegedly walked into the Miss Teen USA pageant dressing when the teens were in the process of dressing.
I used to think the John Kelly would be the one to keep the 70something toddler in line, but it appears to me that he thinks the same way Trump does. I think it’s time that John Kelly leave this administration and they get someone in who can control Trump until the blue wave hits in November. Please, register to vote and then vote democrat. We may not be perfect, but the other team’s insane.
