Yesterday was President’s Day, well not really. It was George Washington’s birthday, but not really. Washington’s birthday became president’s day, but George Washington’s birthday is February 22nd. But national holidays were moved to the closest Monday, so today was just Monday, so Happy Fake President/Washington’s birthday Monday. So, in short, A fake president’s day for a fake president.
In my opinion, Trump is losing his mind. He went to Florida over the weekend to vacation once again. He used the excuse of visiting the survivors and first responders of the Parkland, Florida shooting. He took two days off from golf to honor the victims and returned to the golf course on fake president’s day when the victims were being buried. If he wanted to honor the victims why did he not go to at least one funeral? Wouldn’t that have been the presidential thing to do? But, NO we have the fake president in the White House who spent the weekend rage tweeting like a tween. I think Donald is finally cracking under the pressure of the Russia investigation.
He was all over this weekend in his tweets, which I will display for you below. He went from praising the first responders which included the FBI and then turned to blaming the FBI for the shooting. He said if the FBI had not been spending time on the Russia investigation that the FBI wouldn’t have known about the shooter. Does he not realize there are thousands upon thousands of FBI agents? Doesn’t he realize there are field offices that are not located in Washington? Donald Trump is the least prepared president ever. The current president has turned his visits with the victims and first responders into a photo op. He has a picture of himself grinning with the first responders at the header for his twitter page. He was there to visit kids who survived a mass shooting at their school and he stood there grinning like an idiot with his thumb sticking out.
Donald Trump told his supporters at a rally in Youngstown, Ohio, “with the exception of the late, great Abraham Lincoln, I can be more presidential than any president that’s ever held this office.” The question I must ask, is when will that happen?
I will leave with one last thing that has come out of the fake president’s white house. Today an official from the White House told the Washington Post that the Parkland shooting has given the White House a “reprieve from” dealing with overwhelming negative news.
I really can’t get over the “reprieve” comment from the White House so I will close this for tonight. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day? I have heard some interesting news and if I can confirm it, I will post it tomorrow.
