HELP WANTED

Help Wanted

Nepotism: noun

patronage bestowed or favoritism shown on the basis of family relationship, as in business and politics:

Donald Trump’s administration has many positions that remained unfilled, yet when you take a closer look he has surrounded himself with people from his life before he became president. Such as Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner. Ivanka has the job title of special advisor to the president and this past weekend she found herself tasked with informing President Moon of South Korea about the sanctions her father would be implementing against North Korea.

In an interview with NBC this past weekend Ivanka Trump was asked, “do you believe your father’s accusers?” (LINK)

She answered, “I think it’s a pretty inappropriate question to ask a daughter if she believes the accusers of her father when he’s affirmatively stated there’s no truth to it.”

This is a fine answer from a daughter, except she was in South Korea as a part of the Trump administration. She cannot have it both ways. She needs to either be there as his daughter or as an advisor to the president. Ivanka said during the campaign that she would be an advocate for women and women’s issues. I think she is falling down on that job. What has she done for women? There have been over twenty women come forward against her father and she believes none of them?

Tonight as I was watching The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell on MSNBC and he said, “does she believe her mother?” Ivana Trump in a court deposition in accused Trump of raping her in a violent assault and ripping clumps of her hair out after a painful operation on his scalp. So who does she believe, her mother or her father or is she burying her head in the sand. I don’t think she is cut out to be an advocate for women.

Ivanka’s husband works in the Trump Administration also. I am not sure what job he is doing now, but in the past, he was supposed to be working on peace in the middle east, solving the opioid epidemic, diplomacy with Mexico, diplomacy with China, reforming care for veterans, reforming the criminal justice system, and reinventing the entire government and making it work like a business. However, Kushner has been working with an interim security clearance and John Kelly has the final say if Jared will be able to get his security clearance. Trump could give Jared the clearance, but he has left it to John Kelly. Sarah Huckabee Sanders has said Jared can continue to do his job with or without the security clearance.

My question is, why won’t Trump grant Kushner clearance? Kushner was interviewed by Meuller’s office, but from what I have read it was to do with Flynn. Are there more questions in Kushner’s future? Is that why Trump won’t grant him clearance? I wonder if he will have a job once Kelly is done getting rid of people without proper clearance? Only the future will tell…

Daniel Scavino Jr. is the White House Director of Social Media and Assistant to the President. He formerly was Donald Trump’s Caddie. (LINK)

Keith Schiller was the deputy assistant to the president and the director of Oval Office operations. He left the job last fall. He was Donald Trump’s longtime bodyguard. (LINK)

John Dunkin was Trump’s longtime pilot and he is pushing to have him head the Federal Aviation Administration. (LINK)

I could go on and on…

Donald Trump has been filling positions with his friends and family. He is trying to run our government like he ran some of his companies, run them into the ground, filling them with family and friends to get whatever he can get before the company goes bankrupt.

You would think that nepotism laws would keep this stuff from happening but in the current interpretation, it means the president can do this unless Congress wants to add more definition to the law. I wish they would, but we know the do-nothing Congress is under Trump’s control, which is why we need everyone to vote so we can turn this country blue.

I went and did my part today. In Texas we have early voting going on right now and I voted for the one person I think can beat Ted Cruz. I will gladly see Ted Cruz to the unemployment line. Texas can be blue!!

Peace, Love & Kitty Snuggles,

  1. I agree with you about Ivanka. She’s ill-quipped to do the job she is supposed to be doing, and she’s a *terrible* women’s advocate. In fact, she’s the opposite of an advocate; by not speaking out against it, she’s condoning her father’s nefarious behaviour and contributing to the very thing she’s supposedly working to combat. The entire administration is vile, for so many reasons!
