Please pray for Austin, Texas. These bombings need to stop.

I am an angry woman this evening. To be honest, I have been angry most of the day. When I went to the gym today almost all the televisions were frozen except of course “Faux News.” Trying to watch the news on Fox is pretty much impossible. I knew that there was a school shooting in Maryland, but when I left the house, there wasn’t anything being said except the police were on the scene and I figured I could watch the news at the gym.

So, I got myself on a treadmill in front of the TV with Faux and started walking. As I was walking and waiting for something to be said about the shooting, there was breaking news about another bomb in Texas.  There wasn’t a whole lot being said other than a bomb went off at a FedEx distribution center near San Antonio.

After I finished working out and returned home, I found out another bomb was found before it had exploded and that the authorities were hopeful that the unexploded bomb would help them figure out who was behind the bombings. Then the news cycle was taken over by the president and a porn star.

I don’t know about you, but I am so tired of the news cycles being about the president’s sexual escapades. Yes, it is important that we know “who” the president really is, but I think we get it by now. Before he was elected over twenty women came forward with stories about Donald Trump’s sexual behavior and it didn’t seem to deter those who have become part of “cult 45.” To his cult, this man can do no wrong. It is time for the media to stop the 24/7 news cycle about Trump’s illicit affairs.

It’s also time to the let the courts do what they can with the women coming forward to break non-disclosure agreements with Trump. A Supreme Court Judge has ruled against Donald Trump. Trump wanted the judge to dismiss or delay the defamation lawsuit against him by Summer Zervos. Now that the decision has been made, it’s time to let this go and let the courts decide what will happen. We do not need to hear any more about what Trump has done.

Donald Trump is the type of person who thinks that any media attention is good. It doesn’t matter if they are saying things against him, he just wants his name in the news.

So let’s turn our attention away from the president’s junk and turn our attention to what is truly important.

For me, dear hubby, my family, Mawow, my friends, and my writing is what is important to me and I am fighting for sensible gun control so school shooting stop. I have family members still in school and I want them safe. I am attending rallies, voting, and talking to everyone around me about sensible gun control. I want to be strong for those who need me. This is my year of giving back to the world and I am trying my hardest.

I'm just a girl who was transplanted to Texas in 2014 when my dear hubby got a job here. I was nervous about moving back to Texas but I had no cause to worry. I met and made wonderful writer friends through NaNoWriMo. (National Novel Writing Month) My writing is one of the most important things in my life. I have been published twice. Once on the NPR: This I Believe website and I have a poem that was published in the International Poets Society's book in 2002. In 2008, I became very ill and my body began to shut down. I was put into a medically induced coma for six weeks. In those six weeks, I was put on a ventilator because my lungs began to fail. I was put on dialysis as my kidneys began to fail. My husband was told to gather my family as I was not expected to make it. And yet, here I am today, stronger than I have ever been before. My husband is why I am here today. He never gave up on me for one minute and I believe that his prayers were heard by God and here I am. Other than writing, I love to play video games with my husband and my best friend Ron. I love to create bracelets with the rainbow loom and when it gets cold, I start crocheting. I am currently working on a retro, pink camo poncho. Well, that's a little peek into my life.
