Good Morning! Today’s blog is not going to be a long one as I spent my “blog writing” time on a different project, so please bear with me. I am an angry woman and I am sure you can guess who I am upset with, can’t you?
Can someone please explain to me how the president can praise a dictator and not give praise to a man who stopped a homegrown terrorist from killing more people? Why did he not put out a tweet telling the families who lost innocent family members from gun violence, that he is very sorry for their loss?
In my honest opinion, the man is so racist that he could not bring himself to praise a man of color, not for any reason. Not even for getting an AR15 out of the hands of a man intent on killing innocent people. Instead, Sarah Huckabee Sanders during Monday’s press briefing praised Shaw’s “heroic actions,” and offered the president’s condolences to the victims. (LINK) We all know that Trump in on his “unsecure” private phone sending tweets at all hours of the day and night, (When does the man do any actual work?) so what is the excuse for not taking two minutes out of your day to say something to the man who saved lives or the families that lost loved ones?
How long do you think it would have taken Trump to tweet if the shooter was brown? Or black? What about if the man who was the hero in this situation was white? If the hero had been white, do you think Trump would have invited him to come to the White House to rain praises on him? But a white shooter and black hero don’t fit the Trump narrative.
The Waffle House shooter (I won’t use his name, he doesn’t deserve to have us waste our time remembering his name) allegedly had posted on the website 4chan that links him to white supremacy and that he had intended to kill more people of color. (LINK) And yet, the president hasn’t said a word about the shooter. We already know that the shooter had been arrested by the secret service when he was in a restricted area of the White House. He told officers that he wanted to set up a meeting with Trump and that he was a sovereign citizen.
According to the FBI says that sovereign citizens are “anti-government extremists who claim the federal government is operating outside its jurisdiction and they are therefore not bound by government authority—including the courts, taxing entities, motor vehicle departments, and even law enforcement.” (LINK)
Do you find it insane that the NRA has been silent since the shooting? The NRA has said repeatedly that only a good guy with a gun can stop a bad guy with a gun, but we know for sure that is a big FAT LIE! James Shaw Jr. stopped an insane man with a guy and Mr. Shaw had no weapon, but he faced a bad guy with an AR15 with his bare hands, so of course the NRA has their head buried in the sand.
With all that we are learning about the shooter, it makes think that he may be a Trump supporter. I don’t know for sure, so please don’t read that as gospel.
The four victims have been identified and they were all in their 20s. The Trump administration failed to recognize these very young individuals. In a news release, Metropolitan Nashville Police identified those killed Sunday as 29-year-old restaurant worker Taurean C. Sanderlin of Goodlettsville and three patrons: 20-year-old Joe R. Perez of Nashville, 23-year-old Akilah DaSilva of Nashville and 21-year-old DeEbony Groves of Gallatin, Tennessee. I will pray for all of them and their families. Would you, please do the same?

So sad, the grief those parents are feeling I cannot imagine. I am praying for them and also thanking God for Mr. Shaw. He will be blessed .
