I wasn’t going to write a blog today because I have been feeling under the weather again. I suffer from pancreatitis and it’s been quite a while since I have had a bad flare up. I spent most of Wednesday sleep on and off on the couch, but when I woke up around dinner time I decided to write after I ate. However, I have spent three hours procrastinating and making a new playlist to workout too, but I am finally sitting down to write a bit. Each time I woke up for a little bit, I would listen to the news and it feels like I am living the same day repeatedly. Trump is in the news for doing something. He either has insulted someone, fired someone or hired someone without letting anyone know what he was planning. For example, Ronny Jackson.
When Trump dropped Ronny Jackson name to head Veteran Affairs, people were shocked. I mean who nominates someone to head the second largest government department via Twitter? Is he even qualified to do the job? Ronny Jackson became a “public figure” after he gave a press conference about Donald Trump’s health. Remember? Trump is in excellent health because of good genes and weighs 239 pounds? (CLICK) here if you want to watch the full hour and 15-minute video.
Ronny Jackson has come under fire since his nomination. At first, it was all about how he was not qualified to be the Secretary of Veteran Affairs, which I totally agree with. Running Veteran Affairs will take someone qualified to do the job. Our veterans deserve better than what they are getting now. There are way too many vets without a place to live, without access to healthcare and mental health care.
Just because Ronny Jackson is the medical doctor to the president does not mean he is qualified to run Veteran Affairs. I have never been in the military, but my dad, my stepfather, and my brother were in the military. I had to look up what veteran affairs does, I took this straight from AllGov.com. (LINK)
[The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is responsible for providing vital services to America’s veterans. VA provides health care services, benefits programs and access to national cemeteries to former military personnel and their dependents. The department carries out its duties through three main administrative divisions: Veterans Benefits Administration; Veterans Health Administration; and National Cemetery Administration. All three divisions have run into trouble while carrying out their missions, including controversies involving VA hospitals and longstanding delays in providing services.]
The closer we got to the confirmation hearing, things (allegedly) in Ronny Jackson past began popping up in the news. His confirmation hearing was supposed to start Wednesday, April 25, 2018, but they have been postponed pending investigations into the allegations.
I will say in my opinion (this is just my opinion) Rear Adm. Ronny Jackson lied during the press conference concerning Donald Trump’s health. How is a man over the age of 70 who lives on a diet of McDonald’s, KFC and diet coke a healthy man? He got up in front of the American people and lied about Trump’s health, there is no way he weighs only 239lbs and he is not 6’3”.
Here is a picture of Donald Trump standing next to Barack Obama. Barack Obama is 6’1” and Trump is the same exact height. So, I believe Ronny Jackson lied to us. It seems to me that the people Trump has brought into positions within the government seem to be there taking everything they can for themselves, including the president, so if Ronny Jackson can lie to us, why would he be above doing exactly what everyone else is doing?
According to the Daily News (LINK) Rear Adm. Ronny Jackson is in talks to withdraw from the nomination. Trump said he didn’t want to put Jackson through “a process like this — it’s too ugly and too disgusting. So we’ll see what happens. He’ll make a decision.” Trump added, “I wouldn’t do it. What does he need it for? To be abused by a bunch of politicians that aren’t thinking nicely about our country?” I think this was Trump giving Jackson a way out.
There have been rumors about Jackson’s workplace actions, including over-prescribing prescriptions and drunkenness. If these allegations turn out to be true, how can he keep his job as the medical doctor to the president? I am sure Trump would be fine with it because it would take attention away from the Stormy affair, the other playmate affair and the various other things plaguing him.
I do have a favor to ask of Ronny Jackson, if you are going to be leaving Washington after all of this, would you please take Trump with you? I am sure you are pretty peeved at him right now, but would you please take one for the country?
I hope y’all have a fantastic day! Come see us again tomorrow.
Mawow & I wish you,
Peace, Love & Kitty Snuggles.
