I’m just a girl who was transplanted to Texas in 2014 when my dear hubby got a job here. I was nervous about moving back to Texas but I had no cause to worry. I met and made wonderful writer friends through NaNoWriMo. (National Novel Writing Month) My writing is one of the most important things in my life. I have been published twice. Once on the NPR: This I Believe website and I have a poem that was published in the International Poets Society’s book in 2002.

In 2008, I became very ill and my body began to shut down. I was put into a medically induced coma for six weeks. In those six weeks, I was put on a ventilator because my lungs began to fail. I was put on dialysis as my kidneys began to fail. My husband was told to gather my family as I was not expected to make it. And yet, here I am today, stronger than I have ever been before.

My husband is why I am here today. He never gave up on me for one minute and I believe that his prayers were heard by God and here I am. Other than writing, I love to play video games with my husband and my best friend Ron. I love to create bracelets with the rainbow loom and when it gets cold, I start crocheting. I am currently working on a retro, pink camo poncho. Well, that’s a little peek into my life. I look forward to hearing about yours.

**EDIT** In November 2016 we were blessed with our beautiful kitty Mawow. Dear friends of mine found him and they let us adopt him. When we got him, his name was Bobby but I decided to teach him to meow and I kept saying ma-wow and that’s what he answers to so we changed his name to Mawow. He has truly been a blessing to me.
