If you are a fellow writer, how do you decide what to write when you are staring at a blank page? I thought about writing about extra-terrestrials again, but that was last week’s news and as a GenX-er it’s a bit off my radar now. Maybe, if they decide to communicate with us I will believe they are out there.
👽: One correction from my last post. When I last wrote about the cybermen and Daleks, I misspoke and called Dalek the plural form of Dalek and it should have been Daleks. How many times can you use the Dalek in a sentence?
So, the only thing happening in Texas right now is the 🌡️ HEAT. I miss being able to sit on the front porch with my best friend Laura, we can only last out there a short bit before we are both sweating. One day soon, I will post “Tales from the Front/back porch,” starring Yours truly and Lala.
Since Texas has decided to boil its residents I do not have much to do and I spent some time binge-watching some great movies and television shows. My tastes are all over the place depending on my mood. Of course, I spend a great deal of time on Pluto.tv watching Star Trek: The Next Generation, which at the moment is my favorite show and I’m watching as I write this. I decided to binge-watch Picard and I will not spoil it for you, but if you are a fan of TNG you need to watch Picard. I waited until all three seasons were out to watch because I am impatient, and didn’t want to wait for episodes to be released. I am being forced to wait each week for the new episode of Futurama, and I do not like it one bit. 🤖 Pretend that is Bender.
I also, love to watch movies based on Jane Austen’s books. I have always loved Pride & Prejudice, (& Zombies) Sense and Sensibility, (& Sea Monsters) and recently discovered Vanity Fair which takes place in the late 1840s. I am enjoying Vanity Fair, and I promise no spoilers, but I am planning on reading the book again. Who wants to start a late summer book club with me?
Well, that’s what is keeping me busy during the hottest summer of my life. Stay cool my friends.
